At Kirklees Valley Wildlife Rescue, our mission is to protect, care for, and rehabilitate British wildlife in need. We believe every animal deserves compassion and the chance to live a full life in its natural habitat.
Rehabilitate

Whether it’s an injured bird, an orphaned hedgehog, or a displaced fox, our dedicated team works tirelessly to provide expert care, treatment, and a safe path back to the wild wherever possible.
Release

Beyond rescue and rehabilitation, we are committed to raising awareness and fostering respect for the incredible wildlife that shares our local environment. We aim to inspire people of all ages to appreciate, protect, and coexist with nature.

First Owlets of the year
Spring has truly sprung here at Kirklees Valley Wildlife Rescue, and with it comes the arrival of our first tawny owlets of the year — tiny, vulnerable, and in need of a helping hand.

Herring Gull Covered in Mysterious Contaminant
We’d probably have an unimpressed look on our face too if we were this Herring Gull.
The poor bird was admitted covered head-to-toe in a mysterious contaminant, leaving his normally bright white feathers heavily stained and matted.

A Rare Visitor
